Where did I do my service project?

I voluntered at two different places. I voluntered at the Rum River Library for 7 hours, and also did 3 hours of volunteering at my church, Cornerstone church of Blaine.

What relationship exists between the organization you investigated and the community it serves?

The Rum River Library provides current, reliable and easily accessible information.The library provides information on specific subjects to help individuals and community life, without purchasing anything. People also have access to computers.

How does the organization impact the commmunity with the services it provides?

The library really impacts the community because people have a lot of free resources they can use, sometimes to better help the community in learning about anything they need to learn about.

List and discribe the things you learned when you worked with the community organization. What roles and responsibilities were you excpected to perform?

My roles were to help clean and organize the library. I also did a lot of arts and crafts to help make the childrens section feel more like a childrens section. I made crafts such as the snowman in the picture to make it look like children had made them. I put books in place and made sure everythign was in place.

How does the organization improve the community?

The Rum River library improves the community by giving the services it does to the people. It helps the people become more educated and possibly more civilized. People learn a lot more about our state, nation, and world. It really improves them to learn more about everything that goes on around them.

How did the expiernece change you?

It made me learn more about the people that really want to learn more. It made me want to keep helping the library because it was fun. I liked doing the things I did.

How did the expierence change you?

Voulntering at the library didnt really change much of me. I just liked helping out with whatever I could. People liked what I was doing, because I was talking to a lot of younger kids and helping them, which is something i might want to do in the future.

What problems did you expierence?

I actually did not expierence any problems while doing my voluntering at the Library.

Descirbe the success you expirenced during your service project

The success I expierenced was just after i got done with something. I felt there was a lot accomplished. I knew the kids liked the projects i did, because they had told me. Which i thought was a success for me.

How are you demenstarting leadership?

I am demenstarting leadership by showing the people at the library that young people can help out. They can do something for the community.
